How do I know if my roof is flat or pitched?
A flat roof is usually level or has a very slight slope. Pitched roofs have a visible angle, like a triangle from the side.
How do I find out what my roof is made of underneath?
It’s usually either wooden joists or metal beams. If your building is newer or commercial, metal is more likely. If it’s a home or older building, wood is more common. If you're not sure, choose "Not Sure" — we’ll help you work it out later.
How do I know if the frame is in good condition?
If there’s no sagging, damp, rot, or rust visible inside the roof or loft, it’s probably fine. But if the roof dips, leaks, or has visible damage, it may need replacing. Not sure? Just pick "Not sure" — we’ll help you check later.
